Referring to your Secret Despatch of the 15th. August, I have the honour to forward a copy of a letter received from the Registrar of Companies at Shanghai regarding the Interna- -tional Institute.

2. This Institute was incorporated in Hongkong under the name "The International Institute of China", on the 23rd. December, 1905, as a Company limited by guarantee. It was dissolved and was struck off the register of companies on the 6th. October, 1916, under Section 222 of the Companies Ordinace, 1911.
